SEAS Building and Grounds Committee
This committee is responsible for the care of the parish facilities, including the care and upkeep of the parish buildings, grounds and rectory.
Buildings: Maintaining the interior of the parish buildings is a big responsibility, but with a little free time from willing parishioners this can be done. We have the materials. All we need are volunteers willing to share their many talents. We are always on the look out for additional carpenters, electricians, plumbers and general maintenance “handy” folk.
Grounds: Maintaining the lawn around our Church is another big job. Grass-cutting team members and substitutes are always needed and greatly appreciated! In addition, the group works during the winter months to clear leaves, gutters and brush from around the parish property in order to keep our walkways clear and safe.
Landscaping: Our landscaping volunteers work hard to keep the scenic setting of our Church and our Church sign next to Rt. 60 looking good. Their efforts not only include maintaining the crepe myrtle trees and ornamentals, but also the shrubbery beds and Mary’s Garden by weeding, mulching and watering throughout the year.
As the winter months come to an end, please remember our building and grounds committee offers free exercise and sunshine in a beautiful environment. Training is provided.
