Welcome to our Adult Faith Formation Page! The pursuit of a relationship with Jesus is a lifelong work of grace and perseverance. At St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish adults are encouraged to seek the companionship of fellow parishioners who follow Christ through the life of His Universal Church, aided by these timeless practices:
- Frequent reception of sacraments
- Adoration
- Daily readings
- The Rosary
- Continuing Education and spiritual reading
Please feel free to contact us for more information on any of our faith formation ministries or services so we can assist you in furthering your lifelong spiritual journey.
RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults):
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is a process of study and prayer for those who have never been baptized, were baptized in another Christian denomination and would like to become Catholic, or were baptized Catholic, but never received the Sacraments of Eucharist or Confirmation. It is a process that is supported by the entire parish community because it is the parish community that evangelizes and manifests the Lord’s presence to those seeking to join us in faith.
Returning to Our Faith Ministry:
The SEAS Returning to Our Faith Ministry offers a compassionate and encouraging atmosphere for inactive Catholics to consider returning to our faith. The goal of the ministry is to reach out to inactive Catholics inviting them to join us for hospitality and discussion, giving them time to consider the stirrings of their hearts. The “Catholics Come Home” program is intended to help bridge the sometimes intimidating obstacles to returning. The Faith Ambassadors from our parish host information sessions for inactive Catholics and/or parishioners who want more information. Please consider inviting neighbors, friends or family members that may benefit from our ministry to contact us.
SEAS Lending Library:
The St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church Lending Library is available for use in the Commons Area of the Church. If you would like to borrow items, there is a sign-out sheet next to the bookshelf to borrow items for up to three weeks.
Private Prayer Time:
If you would like to schedule private prayer time in the Church during the week, please call the parish office at 804-932-4125 and we will be happy to assist you. Thank you.
